Our graphics workstations are unique in the industry because we prioritize security and longevity. This means that all Floating Point™ workstations are air-gapped by default; preventing your competitors from exploiting the surveillance hardware that has been embedded into all modern CPUs. We also use flexi-frame, infinitely reusable, chassis designs.
Arcade Machines
As part of our social-outreach efforts, we build arcade machines for public-spaces. Our arcade machines are designed in the ethos of the 1980s, a time when community and friendship arose naturally around the warm-glow of the CRT in arcade cabinets like Pacman and Centipede. Floating Point™ advocates a return to arcade cabinets in public spaces.
Off-Grid Sentinel™
The centralized storage of knowledge by services like Wikipedia and the Internet Archive leaves humanity in a vulnerable position. Our Off-Grid Sentinel™ contains the entire useful contents of the legacy internet, and more, in offline storage. The Off-Grid Sentinel™ can be intelligently queried, providing you with a research hub that cannot be tampered with.
Mesh Networks
The legacy-internet turned into a surveillance network where megacorps ply their wares to an army of semi-conscious consumer drones. The original vision of the internet, as a place for information storage and communication, has collapsed. In its ruins, a new paradigm is rising: We build mesh networks which do not rely on centralized administration.
Neo-Tokyo Interiors™
At Floating Point™ we construct interiors for the next-generation of apartment-style living spaces. Our interior habitats draw inspiration from the visual lexicon of science fiction masterpieces. Interiors have lagged behind stylistic advances in cinema and books; at Floating Point™ we retrofit skyscraper interiors and neo-nomad vans for the future.
Retrofitting
We don't just retrofit skyscrapers, we also restore and repair industrial tools. Our work in this area includes the 3D-scanning, and retrofitting of apartments; computer hardware; and vehicles. Freedom is important to us. For this reason, we only use open-source engineering-software and operating-systems. This guarantees future-proofing.
